I’m really excited to welcome Marie Saint-Louis to Bookaholic Confessions today. Marie is a Physic Medium who has written a book all about her life, including experiences of some of the people she’s met and the things that have happened during her successful career. It sounds an completely enthralling read, so naturally I had lots and lots of questions for Marie about both what it’s like to be a Physic Medium and also about her book, RSVP From Heaven…
Hi Marie, a huge, warm welcome to Bookaholic Confessions! Thank you so much for participating in this interview. Would you like to start by introducing yourself…?
Hello Holly and Bookaholic Confessions readers!
I want to thank you for having me!
My name is Marie, I’m a Psychic Medium and have lived in Phoenix, Arizona (U.S.) for most of my life. During the day, I am special education teacher who has spent my career teaching juvenile offenders (probation, parole, and prisons) and alternative high schools. At night, I balance my time conducting spiritual sessions for my clients and writing my books.
Can you tell us a bit about your new book, RSVP From Heaven?
RSVP From Heaven is about my life as a psychic medium who has spent years sharing guidance and communicating with the deceased for her clients at the most amazing parties and unique events around. Some of these events may be controversial in the eyes of others. Of course, it wasn’t easy because I battled social anxiety, rejection, and sceptics along the way.
Readers will sit tableside during readings at an Arizona casino swap meet and have front row seats with costumed guests during three nights of dazzling Hollywood Halloween parties. You never will know where I will show up next!
Told in a down to earth and often intimate style, I share true tales of the compelling people I meet who are searching for direction in love, career, family, relocation, and other topics. In the midst of busy fairs and festivals, I pass messages on from deceased loved ones to the individuals seated at my vendor table.
RSVP from Heaven is a fresh new approach in spiritual books that will entertain and captivate readers around the world. A remarkable timeless tale about the shared emotions we experience as people and our quest to find answers while living our personal journeys.
What inspired you to write RSVP from Heaven?
Through the years, I’ve shared stories about my psychic medium readings with clients (and anyone else who listened) and the response was very positive. People were encouraging me to begin writing a book for them. The only problem was, I didn’t have a book and finding the time was difficult because I had two full time careers. I finally had to make time, which meant many nights staying up until 1am-2am writing, then getting back up at 6am to get ready for another day teaching at the high school.
What made you decide to become a Psychic Medium? Can you tell us a little more about what being a clairvoyant is like?
As you know, clairvoyance means “clear seeing”. Clairvoyants can see energy fields, spirits, symbols, and visual scenes from the past, present, and future. Receiving these images are one thing, but interpreting them is where the real gift comes in. I refer to my visions just like a movie playing in front of my eyes.
I began having my first experiences seeing and communicating with spirits at the age of five but didn’t have anyone to talk with, including my family. It wasn’t because they wouldn’t understand but rather I was an extremely introverted child. When I reached my teens, I began sharing with friends what I was seeing regarding their lives.
I feel blessed to have this ability so I can guide others in their lives. I don’t make decisions for clients but rather empower them to see the situation clearer before making any choices.
How long did it take you to write RSVP from Heaven?
In November of 2013, I began writing my book, RSVP From Heaven and it will be available for everyone in March 2015!
What do you hope readers take away from your book?
There are several messages I hope readers take with them after finishing my book. Here are two of them.
“We all have uncertainties about our life direction and purpose.”
I’ve have the pleasure to meet and guide people from all walks of life; from college students, teachers, accountants, police officers, surgeons, to adult film stars, all which makes for a more interesting experience for my readers.
Throughout the book, you will witness people come to me when they are searching for direction and needing hope. We all have been there before; when our relationships are breaking apart, we are unfulfilled in our careers, family members causing havoc, and wondering if relocation will give us new opportunities and a new lease on life.
There are many people having a similar struggle within their own lives. It may not be the exact situation, but they are hurting as much as you or even more.
“Value your time with loved ones and make peace with them if you need to do so.”
What I hear from clients is that they wished they had spent more time with loved ones before they passed. I love the part in the book where I read at a festival for a young man from Detroit, Michigan.
Dion was unsure about having his first psychic medium reading but once he sat down, I read for him for over an hour. I still remember when I connected Dion to his deceased brother Bernard. At one point during the session, Dion looked at me and said. “Damn the last time I saw my brother we fought over something real stupid. I wish I could take it all back because weeks later Bernard was murdered.”
If you had to describe your book in three words, what would you choose?
Besides “a must read” for everyone, I would say a “unique emotional adventure” for those looking for an entertaining book.
Can you tell us a bit about your journey to publication?
I had no clue what I was doing and still continue to learn from the experts. Every night, I take the time to research a different self-publishing topic. These topics range from book cover designs to marketing ideas. This past year, I attended a few local writing conferences and spoke with other authors too. I basically learned as I went through the process and still have a lot to study.
Who are your favourite authors and what kind of books do you enjoy reading?
I tend to read from all genres and from a wide range of authors. I am currently reading, “A Stigmatist: Marie-Rose Ferron by Jeanne Savard Bonin. Marie Rose Ferron, often called the Little Rose, was a Canadian-American Roman Catholic mystic and stigmatist.
And finally – can you tell us a bit about what you’re working on at the moment?
I’m already working on my next book in the RSVP From Heaven series. I keep a stack of notebooks and pens from the 99 Cents Only Store (similar to 99p Stores in the UK) on me at all times. Each year, I take part in many amazing parties and unique events giving spiritual guidance to people; birthday parties, country fairs, food festivals, all places you would never to expect a psychic medium to show up
I write down pertinent details as they happen, which are the foundation of my books. Afterwards, I get busy in structuring the specific chapter which includes the people I meet, the readings, and what is going on around me while I’m there. I want readers to feel like they are actually attending with me and have a front row seat!
Thank you for allowing me to be a part of Bookaholic Confessions. I would like to invite everyone to join me at my social media sites too. I love hearing from those who have read my books.
