Natalie Love has worked hard to have it all: she runs a successful theatre in Soho that’s about to host one of Hollywood’s leading stars. Her biggest supporter is her eccentric Hungarian Gran, and she even has the ‘perfect’ yoga teacher boyfriend – Namaste!

Life in the bright lights of London has always been Natalie’s escape from her chaotic country family in rural Devon and Jamie, the childhood sweetheart she left at the altar 15 years ago. And then he turns up at her theatre door…

With rivalry clouding old feelings, events in Soho bring Jamie and Natalie together in hilarious ways. Gran is loose in the city once more, it seems to be raining sandwiches and records are broken for Burlesque flash mobs. If she can keep her world together, will Natalie discover who is really Mr Right, and that perhaps she isn’t Miss Wrong?

When we first meet Natalie Love she is in a field burning her wedding dress…So far, so normal. Deciding that she just isn’t ready to settle down with her boyfriend Jamie, she leaves him standing at the altar.
The story then fast forwards fifteen years and Natalie has worked hard and followed her dreams. She is living in London and the proud manager of the Raven Street Theatre, which is about to be well and truly put under the spotlight as the theatre is about to stage a production of Macbeth with…wait for it…THE American actor/heart-throb Ryan Harrison.
However, Natalie’s plans look set to be turned upside down when Jamie turns up in London and announces he is opening his own pop-up venue staging Burlesque productions directly opposite the Raven Street Theatre. No biggie, right? Erm…Not exactly…

I don’t even need to say how much I love Robert Bryndza and his awesome books, do I? You already know. I am one of Coco Pinchard’s biggest fans and as Ryan Harrison would say I was ‘totally jazzed’ about reading Miss Wrong and Mr Right.
When one of your all-time favourite authors releases a new book it’s always hugely exciting, but at the same time there’s always a tiny niggle – what if I don’t enjoy this book as much as the others? And if I don’t – will life be the same?? (*cough* drama queen *cough*) In all seriousness, I’m sure book lovers know what I mean. There’s always going to be that ridiculously high level of expectation. However, I am so glad that Robert Bryndza holds the title of one of my all-time favourite authors, simply because his writing NEVER lets me down.
Miss Wrong and Mr Right is officially one of my favourite books of 2015 so far and I loved every single page, every single sentence and every single word.

One of my favourite things about Robert’s writing is how he creates these bold, hilarious and massively entertaining characters. He brings his characters to life so, so well. Whether it’s through their thoughts, actions or dialogue, his characters are always realistic and so easy to bond with. You’ll easily consider them to be real life friends of your own- that’s how much they’ll come to life for you when reading this novel. I loved Natalie. She is a likeable, warm and funny lead character who you’ll be rooting for all the way. She never gives up, she’s loyal, supportive and not afraid to stand her ground (even if she has the word ‘FAT’ stamped on her head…)
Natalie’s boyfriend Benjamin is someone you’ll love to hate. Boy, did this guy rile me. I badly wanted Natalie to tell him to take his ‘Namaste’ and shove it.
One of my favourite characters was Natalie’s Hungarian gran, Anouska. I had an inkling that I was going to like this lady and she certainly didn’t disappoint. She reminded me of the legendary Ethel from Robert’s Coco Pinchard books and I ADORED her. One of the things I liked most was actually her accent. (I particularly loved it when she said ‘vooman’) Her adventures always made me chuckle and I really wish she would write a book as I could happily hear about her marriage proposals and mermaid-playing past forever. Good Luck Giuseppe…

I often read about books that are described as ‘laugh-out-loud’ or ‘hilarious’ but in reality, I find that very few are actually so funny that you physically laugh out loud. You might raise a smile or think to yourself ‘Gosh, that’s funny’ which by all means is great. However that’s not something I experience when reading Robert Bryndza’s books, because when I had Miss Wrong and Mr Right in my bookish hands I was PROPERLEY LAUGHING. His writing is just so funny, yet natural at the same time which I think is all part of its appeal. The situations he’s writing about are not ridiculously far-fetched or farcical, they all start off as very plausible things which could happen to anyone and quickly escalate into being bloomin’ hilarious.

The whole story flowed so well for me. It moved at a fast-pace, was exciting and very importantly, unpredictable. I had no clue who was going to be Natalie’s Mr Right and I loved that (as long as it wasn’t Benjamin, Namaste!) The romance side of the book was done so well. There was no unrealistic whirlwind romances and the relationships that the characters formed were done so at a realistic pace.

I really could list the positive points of this book all day. You need to read Miss Wrong and Mr Right if you are in need of a laugh, a fan of Coco Pinchard’s, like romance, want to take your mind off every-day life for a few hours, or, heck, if you are a living, breathing human with eyes, ears and a sense of humour. In other words – pretty much everyone, really…

A huge thank you to Robert Bryndza for sending me a copy of Miss Wrong and Mr Right for review.
