The Boy Under the Mistletoe is Katey Lovell’s festive addition to the wonderful #MeetCute series. In this bite-sized treat we get to meet Chelsea. Chelsea is exhausted after working non-top in her family’s flower shop in the run up to Christmas after returning home from University. Chelsea is longing for an early night but she can’t even dream of missing her Gran’s Christmas get-together (it would go against all tradition!) Chelsea does her best to keep her eyes open and prepares for her Gran’s endless insistence that she consumes a large amount of nibbles. However, when she does attend the festive get-together it certainly seems that there are more than cheese nibbles on offer…
It’s the 30th of December so I’m sure you are once again more than aware just how hectic Christmas can be. Sometimes we all need to just chill, put our slippers on and sit back for five minutes whilst festive chaos ensures – and The Boy Under the Mistletoe is the perfect antidote to Christmas madness.
Katey’s #MeetCute series has been so refreshing, especially from a bloggers point of view where the sheer amount of books you have to read can be quite daunting (but ultimately great, of course!) It makes a nice change to just be able to relax with a story for five minutes or so and I’m really pleased there is a festive addition to the series. (Although needless to say it can be enjoyed any time of year!)
