As I’m sure all of my fellow book-lovers know, there are a lot of Christmas novels being released this year (and I mean a lot…!) I have every intention of making my merry way through every single one of them, or at least as many as I can in between munching on mince pies and miniature heroes, but there’s one book that I am super, super, SUPER excited about, and that is My True Love Gave To Me by Stephanie Perkins. Only, it’s not just by Stephanie (who is completely amazing by the way, check out her YA books starting with Anna and the French Kiss) but it is a collection of Christmas stories by some absolutely FANTASTIC Young Adult authors including Gayle Forman, David Levithan, Holly Black, Ally Carter, and one of my personal favourites Rainbow Rowell, plus many, many more. Not only this but it has PINK EDGED PAGES. And breathe.
Of all of the Christmas books I am looking forward to this year, I have to admit that this is one I would love to see in my stocking. It’s beautiful, has contributions from some truly amazing authors, all of the stories sound just brilliant and looking at that cover makes me instantly feel Christmassy. I love festive short stories and just as I can’t wait for Christmas, I can’t wait to get stuck into My True Love Gave To Me either!
