Festive Feature

There are loads of things I love about Christmas – the music and films, festive crafts with my daughters, the school nativity plays and even sprouts (yes, I’m one of those weirdoes). But one of my favourite things is the Reindeer Parade that takes place in my local town centre every year. It’s so nice to take my girls to see it and there’s a lovely atmosphere of excitement as everyone waits for it to begin.
The parade usually includes at least a couple of bands, cute festive characters (from snowmen and polar bears to Christmas trees and crackers) as well as characters from the local pantomime. It always ends with Santa and his reindeer, which the kids love. Last year, the weather wasn’t so good – in fact it was terrible. Rain was pouring and it was even thundering but the parade still went ahead (although the pace was a bit quicker than usual and with a few umbrellas). Although we ended up rather soggy, it was still lovely to see. For me, the Reindeer Parade marks the beginning of the festive season and it’s something I look forward to every year.
A massive thank you with tinsel on top to Jennifer for this lovely post. ♥
